HP has the worst service I've ever dealt with

I purchased an HP laptop through the HP website earlier this month. I received it today. I haven't even powered it on yet and I've had to speak with various reps there and have yet to have a good experience.

1) They didn't process the initial web order so I called in to figure out what went wrong. The rep told me my order was stuck and he would fix it for me. In actuality it looks like what he really did was place another order. Later that day I received two order confirmations and was billed for two laptops.

2) I had to call in to fix the now double order. The rep told me she might not be able to cancel and refund part of the order because it was an accessory. I maintained my calm until I saw where this went because there would be no way I'd be paying double on an order screwup they made. After warning me about this policy several times she fixed their error.

3) A couple days later they dropped the price so I called in to see if they could match the new price. The first rep told me when my order would be shipped which is not what I asked. I asked her if she understood my question. She told me to hold on and hung up on me at that point. I called back in and said they couldn't credit me unless I wanted to cancel the entire order.

4) After receiving the laptop I called the rebate department to find out how to apply for my free Windows 7 upgrade rebate. The rep told me to go online and do it. When I asked where she said they don't provide her internet access, but after describing the website to her she told me where to go. That link didn't work so she said I should call Customer Service since the rebate department doesn't know about this rebate.

I'm scared to turn on the computer and find something wrong now, because god forbid I actually have a technical issue. These representatives are a case of outsourcing failing miserably. Half of the time they didn't understand my questions and the other half of the time they gave me misinformation or caused the problem to be worse. This is my first HP purchase and even if the computer is nice it will probably be my last.
